Farm Friday: Heeley City Farm

As I was leaving Sheffield at the end of a catsitting gig, it dawned on me just how close Heeley City Farm was and that I could manage a quick visit before leaving town.  So, I took the bus back from the city centre and trekked up the hill to Richards Road.  I was greeted with the typical urban farm sight of a young man with encouraging farm supervisors persuading a somewhat stubborn Golden Guernsey goat to move from the stables to green pastures for the day.  A further little wander, uncovered more familiar sights and faces, including excellent programming for alternative education provision, adult supported placements, lots of polytunnels and gardening space, and some lovely rare breeds... Bagot goats  that were a bit calmer and friendlier than usual.
